We spent 12 days with Jean's sister, Ruth, and her family. We did all the things one does on these occasions including going to town, in this case Bury St Edmonds.
While walking in the rose garden of the Abbey in Bury, a fellow came up to me, grabbed me by the elbow and said "You're Richard Attenborough, aren't you?" to which I replied :"No, I'm Thomas Keneally" which made him blink and go away puzzled.
