We set off from Nanango in company with ten other motorhomes on safari to Townsville for the rally at the end of May.
We took a diversion from the safari to visit Gympie to do some business at the Credit Union and to buy a UHF CB radio to keep us in touch with the other members of the safari.
We caught up with the others at a rest area 30 km short of Biggenden after an easy drive - apart from 6 km of gravel road.
The rest area was quite big and well supplied with fire wood so we had a comfortable stop and a pleasant evening round the campfire.
