We awoke to a new day with no hint of last nights adventures. Jean had an appointment at the hairdresser in Ferny Hills and I finished work on the flag.
We returned to the caravan park to find everything shipshape but with some evidence that the permanent residents had had a disaster. Many of them had been flooded and had lost carpets and furniture. Apparently all but one of the visiting caravans had evacuated and the one that had stayed had missed being flooded by a few millimetres (an inch or so).
I had left the stepstool, the power lead and the hoses on the site when we went out in the morning. The power lead and the fresh water hose were still there. The step stool had been run over by a vehicle during the flood and the grey water hose had been swept away. I eventually found it hooked dup on a car in the downstream corner of the park.
To celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary we had lunch at The Summit Restaurant on Mt Coot-tha.
The view is spectacular, the food was very good, the wine was very pleasant, and the kids behaved extremely well so we had an exceptionally good time.
We spent the day finishing all the chores at Patricks Road.
We had dinner with the Marretts as it is our last night in Brisbane for some time.
