All signs of the problems of yesterday's lunch were gone so we made an early start.
We dropped in to Landbase Australia to pick up the mail. We also visited CMCA HQ in Newcastle to check that the email contributions for the Wanderer I had sent had been received and to check up on the insurance. It was lucky we did because I found that they had our new address as 203 Patricks Road. Its no wonder I hadn't been getting anything.
We stopped for lunch at Hunter Valley Botanical Gardens, a beautiful place and the food was good too.
We rang the Kerrs to find out if they would be at home. They are just off on a trip to South Mole Island but invited us to stay anyway. We decided that we should visit Charlie Marrett instead so we headed off up the New England Highway. There are many good places to overnight along this highway and we stopped first at a rest area near Belford just west of Branxton. We had a quiet night and shared the place with one or in the morning.
