There was to be a dog show at Lawnton showground on Sunday so we arranged to take a day or two sabbatical at Wyllie Park to get out of the way. Tony, the caretaker, was good enough to agree to extend our week there to make up the seven days for which we had paid.
We went to Cafe Zanetti for coffee and met the Marretts and Al there after their trip to Harvey Norman to spend a gift voucher from ian's ex-employer.
Lunch was toasted ham and cheese sandwiches done on the new sandwich toaster - very good they were too.
I spent the afternoon updating the Highway Wanderers web site and doing one or two other iBook chores. Jean was in need of food early so we retired to the Motley for dinner.
We went to Patricks Rd On the way we passed the Lawnton showground, the site of the dog show. We were very glad we had decided not to stay as there were cars everywhere.
I was expecting the Marretts to have gone to visit the Browns but their plan was to go after lunch. I planned to mend the dishwasher while the house was empty so I had to wait until they had gone. In the event there was nothing wrong with the machine. The two problems, no fresh water feed and no draining, turned out to be independent but similar failures in the installation. Both the inlet hose and the drain hose were kinked. I guess they were a bit bent at installation and over the years had collapsed to cause the failures. The fixes were very simple and it is now working again. What a relief for the dishwashers.
I was extremely tired after all the unusual exertion so we retired to the Motley and chose to stay another night at Wyllie Park and move back to the showground tomorrow.
