I planned to camp up somewhere nice for a few days and do a spring clean of the Motley in preparation for Jean's return.
I called into the Tourist Info Centre in Bathurst to enquire about places to camp. They told me that I should stay in a caravan park. I asked about McPhillamy Park and they said that the toilets would be locked and that it would be very "loud" but that there was no prohibition of camping.
I also asked about internet connections and laundrettes. I found the internet cafe but they operate an Airport network of iBooks and didn't have the ability to let me connect though the guy did say that he thought he perhaps should make some provision for people like me. I found the laundrette but it was deserted and looked permanently closed.
Feeling a bit put out again, I continue towards Sydney and stopped at Lake Wallace. This is a very big park in Wallerawang just outside Lithgow on the shores of the lake created to supply cooling water to the power station. It is quite pretty but I noticed camping listed as one of the things forbidden in the park. Of course no one came to evict me and I had a peaceful night.
