We headed north intending to go either to Whyalla to visit the Maitlands or to Carrieton to visit the Thews. We did however, have to visit a Mazda Service shop to check out a front wheel bearing which had leaked a small quantity of oil. The nearest Mazda dealer was at Port Pirie and he said he could see us on Monday so we parked up at Fishermans Bay in a free rest area right on the water.

On Saturday I did some more small jobs and we veged out.

The weather has been on and off windy ever since we stopped at Paskeville. It is said that the locals think it's a great day if the wind doesn't blow. Sadly, a beautiful sunny warm day can turn in minutes into one that drive us indoors. Still, the view is pretty good and we are, of course, very snug and comfortable in the Motley.

The wind dropped late in the afternoon and we spent some time chatting with an English couple origally from London and, more recently, from Albany in WA who are wending their way around Australia in a motorhome.

On Sunday, we veged out. I watched the Wallabies beat the Scots in the Rugby World Cup and some V8 Supercar racing from NZ.
