We headed to Mildura where we restocked with groceries before booking in to the caravan park in Buronga across the river.
We needed to stay a few days to get things straight after the series of failures we have suffered.
I reworked the toilet yet again but still without success so I ordered a replacement mechanism from the local Thetford stockist. I asked for it to be express delivered but it won't arrive until Monday so we extended our stay to a week.
We took off in the Little Motley to do site surveys of the nearest sites. Our first trip was to the Murray Kulkine Park. We would never have visited these places if we hadn't offered to do site surveys for Philip. Lunch by the river in the Murray Kulkyne Park was a wonderfully peaceful meal, reminiscent of a special lunch we had the first time we visited Mildura and took the Motley for an adventure along the River Road to the Psyche Bend Pumping Station.
Our second trip out was to Wentworth where we also revisited Lock 10. We got most of the information Philip needs and took appropriate photos.
The parts for the toilet didn't arrive from Melbourne till Tuesday morning. They were installed before lunch and all the toilet problems went away. What a relief not to have to mop up every few hours and keep deodorising the bathroom.
We had good company in the caravan park and the town of Mildura is quite friendly so our stay was a pleasant one.
