We needed to be on the road early because I had been asked to check out the sites in Murwillumbah which required a 40 km detour off the highway. In the event, we reached Petrie at half past four and settled in to our favourite site at Lawnton Showground by five. We were both pretty tired after a long day so we hunkered down for some rest and relaxation.
I did the laundry, but having no more $1 coins, I brought the wet clothes back to the Motley to hang on the line.
We had fish and chip dinner at Patricks Road.
We went to Nundah to look after Al's new place while he and Joel did several trips to move stuff in.
In ther evening, we went to Patricks Road for dinner.
We decided to veg out but at about seven o'clock I noticed people setting up a canteen. We were surrounded by poultry fanciers all day. I hope the mice found somewhere better than the Motley to go this time.
I managed to build the regulator for my new 24V horn arrangement. All I have to do now is install the little battery and do the wiring. Perhaps, while I'm under the truck, I'll find the enthusiasm to install the trailer light monitor too.
We did some shopping, made an appointment for Jean to get her hearing aid fitted, had lunch, went to Patricks Road to pick up some wool, and returned to the Motley.
\\Another day spent doing odd bits of shopping. We had delicious minestrone soup at Cafe Zanetti.
I did the laundry and then went to Aspley to pick up the Mazda parts I had ordered. I had decided overnight how I was going to install the new air horn 24V supply and had to buy some more supplies.
In the afternoon I checked the batteries, topped them up with water and gave them 3 hours of equalising charge.
