We drove to Bendigo and found a parking space big enough for us outside the Tourist Information Centre right in the middle of the town. We visited the bank and found an Office Works where I bought spare ink cartridges for the new printer. We found a bakery ha had a coffee and a bun.
We drove out of town and found a place to stop so that I could connect to the internet. I sent an email with several megabytes of photos which took a long time even though the modem said it was working EVDO. I also used the web to pay the rego on the car and the trailer because the VicRoads phone number was busy.
We pressed on towards Logan, stopping at Newbridge for lunch.
We reached Pip'n'Mell's place in time for an early happy hour. We chatted until news time, had dinner, and then visited with them to listen to Daddy's latest CD. Mell has encouraged him to take up the guitar and he now does a CD of "songs" and jokes every few weeks.
They had bought a VCR from Cash Converters but it didn't have a manual and they had been unable to get it to operate satisfactorily. I spent some time finding out some of how to drive it but left the second half of that job until tomorrow so that they could watch "The Bill in comfort.
The day was clear and pretty warm though not uncomfortably so.
We spent the day doing stuff and chatting with Pip and Mell. I finished working out how to drive their VCR. In the afternoon, Mell asked for a lesson which I gave her. I said that next time she would have to do it herself while I watched.
We sat around chatting all morning waiting for some more motorhomers to turn up.
I decided not to go into town because we have to take the Motley to town tomorrow to get fuel and water in preparation for a weekend camp at Bobbie McLean's camp.
We spent most of the afternoon happy houring.
