After a fairly good night, we got away just after nine. We stopped for morning tea at Werris Creek and for lunch at Aberdeen where we also dumped the waste water. Jean had suffered from her usual first day out headache which put a bit of a blight on the day.
We reached our planned overnight stop, the rest area between Singleton and Branxton, at about four o'clock. We had averaged about 70 kph (44 mph). The drive had been quite tough with a strong easterly wind and sporadic rain but we settled in for a quiet night.
