The rest of the safari departed the camp at some ungodly hour like 8 o'clock so we met the at Biloela where we planned to stay a couple of days. Several other people had planned to join the safari at Biloela but were uncertain when they would reach us so we settled in to wait for them.
Our fearless leader found a space big enough for us all to park by the water tower. We drew the vehicles into a circle like a wagon train and settled in for the weekend.
On Sunday, we all went to the RSL for dinner to celebrate Mother's Day.
Monday morning say the Borough Engineer come to investigate why we were all parked on his water reserve. He eventually calmed down and politely asked us to move on. I guess he'll put up a no camping sign now which is OK because there are other places in the town where one can free camp.
While the safari moved on towards Emerald, we took some time out in a caravan park to recover from a mild dose of bronchitis, to charge the house batteries and to do some laundry.
