I continued my journey to the east, stopping at Ouyen for breakfast.
I planned to stop at one of the marked camping spots in Nyah but I found them a bit uninspiring so I continued to Swan Hill and then to Lake Charm which was a listed camping spot. I spent some time determining that there was no suitable place to camp, only a seedy caravan park.
I pressed on, missing the next place because it is signposted "Ibis Rookery" at the turnoff and by its listed name, "Middle and Reedy Lakes Recreation Reserve", only well off the road and out of sight.
The site is really a car park for a bird hide rather than a rest area There was an unofficial "No Camping" sign but, as the place was deserted and I was pretty bushed by this time, I decided to camp there. I had an undisturbed night.
