[Earlier Visits]

We decided not to stop another night but before we left Bourke I replaced all our water with good water.

During our morning walk, we visited on of the park's new cabins. The design is so good that it seems suitable for a retirement home for grey nomads. The cabin has a very usable layout and there is a verandah around three sides. The structure rests on a big tree trunk which is the central feature of the interior decor. For our purpose we would have to increase the storage space and we would extend the verandah around all four sides and would make it 3 - 3.6 m (10 -12ft) wide but the idea is there.

I had a difficult day with a tendency to nod off making frequent stops necessary I had planned to go beyond Cobar but we didn't reach the town til half past four so we chose to stop. The lady at the Tourist Information Centre offered us free camping at the Old Town Reservoir but the road had got wet in the recent rain so we decided to use the caravan park instead.
