We had to get back to Brisbane for some medical appointments. We headed off after morning tea and were in Wyllie Park by noon. We chatted to the motorhomers parked up there before setting up in Lawnton Showground for a few days. We were warmly greeted by George and Sally, the caretakers, and by Pat, the pilot, who had just come back from Melbourne.
In the morning, Jean went to see the endocrinologist who said everything was going OK.
We went to Patricks Road to pick up the mail and to upload the website and had lunch at Aspley.
In the afternoon, Jean went to see the ophthalmologist who also found everything was in order. In fact he said she would probably have no problems for the next ten years at least.
We were supposed to see the Pharmacist in the afternoon but he rang to say he wouldn't be able to make it because on of his staff was off sick and he had to fill in for him.
Up early to do the laundry. At lunch time, we went to Albion to buy some 2mm wet suit material so that I can repair the thumb splint and the mask straps. At $50-60 for each replacement, $12 worth of material and a small amount of work will keep us in spares at a fraction of the of price the manufacturers choose to ask.
The pharmacist visited in the afternoon to do a Domicilliary Medication Review. He was most impressed with Jean's knowledge and use of her medication and complimeented her on being a model patient.
A lay day.
Another lay day because it was too hot to do anything.
We met the family for brunch at a cafe in Wilston which had been recomended by Ian. The food was OK but the coffee was really sub-standard.
