We moved the Motley to Wyllie Park for our two free nights and went to town to pick up the new battery for the iBook. In a bookshop I found a copy of the new O'Reilly Applescript book and was please to get it at 20% discount.
We drove back to Chermside for my visit to the periodontist and Jean spent the hour in the shopping centre looking for new clothes for Sarah without success After the dentist, I took Jean to Spotlight where we found some purple fabric to make scarves for Sarah. I had to get some antibiotics so we dropped into Aspley Hypermarket. Jean once again went searching for new clothes for Sarah and found just what she had been looking for in 1626.
I was feeling a bit off because of the numb jaw so we returned to Wyllie Park only to be visited by Lance Maguire who was passing and had seen the Motley. We had a good long chat, mostly about the dramas they were having with a little grandson who had developed cancer and was in Brisbane General having major surgery and repeated courses of chemotherapy. His mother and Gladys are living in care accommodation provided for the parents of children in the oncology ward and Lance was on his own.
While we were talking, the sun went down, the veil of night was drawn across the sky and the Motley batteries failed! It was so severe that there wasn't enough output to crank the generator so I had to jump start it from the Terios. The batteries had been on charge all the time we had been at Lawnton so the batteries has suffered a serious failure and I guess I'll have to replace them!.
