We waited until the caravans had gone before we started the generator to make breakfast and charge the house batteries.
We set off back to Benalla and then to the west, stopping at Shepparton for lunch and to re-stock with fruit and veges having thrown all that was left away before entering the fruit fly exclusion zone.
We stopped briefly in Stanhope to fill the fresh water tanks at a convenient roadside picnic area.
We reached Greens Lake in time for an early afternoon tea and a well earned rest. Our camp site is right by the lake and everything is peaceful once the boaties have finished rushing about.
We decided to stay on for a bit as we have some time to kill and this is a pleasant enough spot.
I went into town to buy the weekend paper and some milk. On the way back I met Peg and Ray Lawson stopped for morning tea in a roadside rest area. They are off to Melbourne before going to the rally so they are rushing about. I also stopped to pick up a dead brown snake off the road to reduce the risk of road kill to the carrion eaters.
