We have prepared some essays on the technical topics of concern to us.
There is one about Peak Oil and one about Climate Change.
The Transition Initiative recognizes that Peak Oil and Climate Change have to be tackled together because the possible solutions to one of the problems may well include activities that will make the other problem worse. While some solutions to the Peak Oil problem will also help with the Climate Change problem, some other solutions, for example burn more coal to generate more electricity, will make Climate Change worse.
We plan to add more pages to this section as we complete the research on the many specific topics which are of concern to a Transition Town.
